Hypnosis is a simple and effective way of making contact with your inner (subconscious) self, that part of you which is both a reservoir of unrecognised potential and knowledge as well as being the unwitting source of many of our daily problems.
It may be surprising to learn that we experience trance states often during the course of every day, daydreaming or even passing into ordinary sleep involves a kind of trance state. The experience of hypnosis is similar, - neither asleep nor awake and a little like daydreaming; with a pleasant feeling of deep relaxation behind it all. By rewriting the programme and doing the same task again suddenly everything works!

Your session begins with me taking some personal details; name, address, date of birth etc. Then you discuss whatever is currently causing you dismay, how this is affecting your life and what you want to achieve. I will have a few questions for you and when there is a clear and full understanding of the situation, its current effects on your life and your goal, then we will begin the hypnotherapy. You will drift easily and peacefully into an altered state of awareness where your subconscious will open up to the new instructions you wish to place there, e.g. more will-power to resist the biscuit tin, to be more assertive, to give up cigarettes, etc. Once completed, I will return you to full consciousness where you will feel relaxed, refreshed, alert and positive. Your subconscious now has a new positive role to play in your life.
